International Linear Collider
The International Linear Collider is a proposed collider that is to be the successor to the Large Hadron Collider. Although this is a proposal there is another one competing with the ILC which is the Compact Linear Collider. The Compact Linear Collider and the International Linear Collider are suppose to not have as much power as the Large Hadron Collider, but the measurements of the collision will be far more precise. The location site of either one will probably be Japan as the japanese government has offered to pay for half of the costs. Research undertaken at the colliders will involve superstring theory, higgs boson research, and extra-dimensional physics.
